When my weekly picks dipped to nearly 20 games below .500 back in mid-October, I didn’t panic or throw in the towel. I didn’t walk away from my commitment to posting my picks every Thursday.
Ingenuity in play calling and design is a good thing. Trick plays and gadgets can catch a defense off guard and kick start an offense. That being said, the key to trick plays is that the defense must not see the play coming.
An unbiased blogger could write 5,000 words on that Sunday night game alone.
Another week, another losing record against the spread. At this point with my season record being something like 20 games under .500 (refusing to actually go back and look), it’s time to try different things.
