College Football Week 6

This is a very busy week for ol' Dale Simpson so I will leave you with a video about the big South Carolina victory over former #1 Alabama and the new top ten. I will be back next week with an in depth look at the season through the first half.

Ultimate Frisbee: The Lamest Sport Ever

We’ve all seen them on campus. Equal parts jock- and hippy-kids playing a “sport” that looks so pathetic you can’t help but feel sorry for them. Welcome to the world of ultimate frisbee!

College Football Week 4

So 1/3 of the college football season is finished and some interesting events happened over that period. We are marching along at what seems to be an expeditious pace and soon the 4 month bowl season will be upon us. Buckle your seat belts because it's going to be a bumpy ride from here until the end. Let's take a moment to look back to week 4.....

Better Than Expected

College Football Mini Blog

Why is ESPN pumping this Oregon State/Boise State game so much? One would make the mistake that ESPN thinks this game is for the national title. Gameday is there, I've heard "Blue Turf" more times in one night than I care, every other promo is for this game......it never ends.

Dale's Prediction: Boise State rolls and ESPN declares them national champions.

Week 3 Top Ten

Week 3 of college football has come and gone. We saw some rivalries, we saw some lay up games, and we saw some trick plays that caused a coach to have a heart attack (Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio after beating Notre Dame). I though Urban Meyer was the front runner for "heart attack coach" but I guess he doesn't mind barely scraping by the South Floridas and Tennessees of the world.

College Football Week 2

Week 2 has come and gone and it turns out some of the contenders may actually be pretenders. It is still way too early to make any types of credible predictions but some teams have a big gunshot wound in the foot that is self inflicted. Some teams are showing signs of making some serious strides this year. I spent the weekend in Columbia, South Carolina watching the Gamecocks hand it to the Dawgs. Once I was dropped off at exit 73 in Rock Hill, SC, I began to contemplate the weekend that was in college football.
