Ravens' Bryant McKinnie Arrives in Baltimore
Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie is back in town and will report to training camp today after arriving at BWI Airport this afternoon.
The former Pro Bowl blocker told the Carroll County Times after his flight that his absence was due to a lower back injury suffered during an accident at his home in South Florida last week where he said he fell and twisted his lower back.
McKinnie missed the first four days of training camp and was placed on the reserve/did not report list, incurring daily $30,000 fines under the NFL collective bargaining agreement. (Carroll County Times)
The biggest question heading into training camp is now answered. This allows the human offside machine Michael Oher to move back to right tackle. I'm still fairly worried about this unit heading into the season but luckily there is young depth behind the proven veterans. McKinnie might be past his prime but with the current state of the Ravens offensive line we'll be welcoming him back with open arms.
